In Hongkong soll zudem ein Cloud-Computing-Labor entstehen mit dem Ziel, Lotus-Anwendungen für die "wolkig" zu machen. In China beschäftigt IBM 5.000 Leute in dem damit weltweit größten Labor.
Ein neues Datenzentrum soll zudem auch in Raleigh (North Carolina) entstehen.
