War es William Gibson in seinem 1984 erschienenen Buch "The Neuromancer"? So sagt es Gibson. So dementiert Steven Lisberger, Regisseur des zwischen 1980 und 1983 entstandenen Films "Tron". In einem Interview erklärt er: »Gibson never ripped me off. The problem that they have is that they think Gibson invented the word “cyberspace.” And we intentionally in 1980 were discussing using the word “cyberspace.” And we decided that it would be interpreted as a Hollywood brain movie. Because “cyber” back then meant anything with brains in it.«
